A free screening of The Kalief Browder Story (Part 1) will be held on October 16, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Harlem Hospital’s Herbert Cave Auditorium, located at 506 Malcolm X Blvd.
The screening is being presented by New York City Councilman Bill Perkins in association with ImageNation, Bullpen Therapy, Harlem Arts Alliance and Harlem Hospital.
Councilman Perkins will moderate a panel discussion following the film. Panelists will include: Akeem Browder (Kalief’s brother); James Gray (National Action Network land Community Activist); Dr. Joe Brewster, Psychiatrist/filmmaker - American Promise, the Keeper; and Mawuli K. Hormeku, Executive Director of Nehemiah Economic Development, Inc and candidate for New York City's 42nd Council District.
