Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network Spearheading Event
On August 28 at 10 a.m., ministers from 31 states and every denomination will take part in a march from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial to the
Department of Justice on the 54th anniversary of
Dr. Martin Luther King’s March on Washington.
The ministers will convene to reaffirm their commitment to the
social justice movement and to stand in solidarity in the spirit and
legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In addition, the participants intend to send a clear message that they will hold
the Trump Administration and Attorney General Jeff Sessions accountable
in the wake of an increase in hate crimes, mass incarceration, and
discrimination.
