New York State Department of Health awarded 92 projects a total of $491.2 million of the funding available, 20
percent or $98.9 million of which was awarded specifically to projects in New
York City.
“This
program will help bring much needed improvements to medical facilities in my
district, here in Queens,” Addabbo
said.
The
Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, Inc. is a federally qualified community
health center established in 1987 to provide comprehensive health services to
impoverished and medically underserved residents of Queens.
Rockaway
Care Center is a residential health care facility that offers compassionate car
and rehabilitation to the elderly, convalescent, handicapped or chronically
ill.
"Thank
you to the New York State Department of Health and the 2017 Statewide Health
Care Facilities Transformation Program (SHCFTP) for awarding roughly $8.9
million to help fund improvements to hospitals and care centers in my
district," Addabbo said. "The
additional funding will help fund improvements to Health care facilities in the
Rockaways and throughout South Queens."
