House Budget Committee Chair Diane Black (R-TN) said she expects the GOP
2018 budget plan to be passed out of committee upon markup and approved
by the full House. Rep. Black called the proposal an action plan that
reduces spending, spurs economic growth, holds Washington accountable
and returns power back to the states. Her comments came during a news
conference on Capitol Hill with other committee members who also spoke
in support of the spending plan.
