2:47 PM (EST) President Trump will welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India to the White House on June 26, 2017. The President looks forward to discussing ways to strengthen ties
between
the United States and India and to advance our common priorities:
fighting terrorism, promoting economic growth and reforms, and expanding
security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. President Trump and
Prime Minister Modi will look to outline a common
vision for the United States-India partnership that is worthy of their
1.6 billion citizens.
Workforce Development Week
2:46 PM (EST) This week the
President is placing a strong emphasis on workforce development.
Secretaries Alexander Acosta and Betsy DeVos, along with the President’s
daughter Ivanka Trump and Reed Cordish with the Office of
American Innovation, have been deeply involved in this push. Secretary
Acosta addressed this issue this morning at the President’s first
meeting with a fully confirmed Cabinet. Secretary Acosta delivered a
presentation on the importance of expanding apprenticeships
in America and the need for all agencies to support the
Administration’s apprenticeship initiative.
