Hearing on Free Speech on College Campuses

College students, university officials, and law professors testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the First Amendment and free speech on college campuses. Topics included the role colleges play in protecting students if there is a threat of violence due to a controversial speaker, defining offensive speech or thought, and how students deal with viewpoint discrimination in classroom settings.
