Rev. Sharpton, Gov. Cuomo, Father McWeeney and Rabbi Potasnik to Hold Interfaith Service



On Sunday, April 2, on the eve of the 49th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s memorable “Beyond Vietnam” speech at the Riverside Church, Rev. Al Sharpton, Governor Andrew Cuomo, and other leaders will come together to address the rising climate of hate in New York and beyond.

The event will take place at the Riverside Church 490 Riverside Drive, New York, at 3 p.m.

Attendees and special guests will include: Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis; Father Brian McWeeney, Director of Ecumenical Affairs and Inter-Religious Activities for the Archdiocese of New York; Rev. Dr. Amy Butler, Riverside Church; and George Gresham, President of 1199 SEIU.
