Donald Trump Interview on the 'Central Park Five' (1989)

This video was published on YouTube on November 14, 2016.

In 1989, five teens were arrested and accused of brutally raping of a woman in Central Park. Real estate mogul Donald Trump took out a full page ad in The New York Times demanding the teens be given the death penalty. The teens were convicted and imprisoned, but they were released after a serial rapist confessed to committing the crime. DNA evidence substantiated his claim.

In this segment, Trump is questioned about the ad, its tone and the businessman's "rush to judgment" by CNN's Larry King.
