ALBANY — A state minimum wage hike is among a host of state laws set to take effect when the new year begins.

The multi-year phase-in plan to raise the state minimum wage to $15-an-hour begins on Saturday.

New York City businesses with at least 11 employees will begin paying employees at least $11-an-hour, up from the current $9-an-hour minimum wage.

City businesses with 10 or fewer employees will have to pay $10.50-an-hour while the rate on Long Island and Westchester will rise to $10-an-hour.
