LULAC, Other Latino Organizations to Hold Protest Demanding Trump be Dumped as SNL Host

New York, NY - Today, at 6:00 p.m., The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and other respected Latino organizations will be holding a protest in front of Rockefeller Center, West 49th Street Entrance, Between 5th and 6th Avenues, to demand that 2016 presidential candidate Donal Trump be removed as host for an upcoming edition of Saturday Night Live.

LULAC stated, "Trump’s remarks on the campaign trail have characterized immigrants as rapists, drug dealers, and murderers which have contributed to real instances of violence against Latinos. We urge those who want to help us deliver the message to join us today in reminding Saturday Night Live (SNL) and Trump that racism under any guise will not be tolerated.

"We will also be using the hashtags #RacismIsntFunny and #DumpTrump to spread the news on social media platforms."

The following organizations will be on hand to support LULAC's effort: the Campaign for Fair Latino Representation, the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) and the National Institute for Latino Policy.
