Slain NYPD Officer Mourned as Accused Killer Scheduled for Court Appearance

Family, friends and fellow cops are gathering Wednesday to remember the 30-year-old NYPD officer who was fatally shot in the head last week while on duty in East Harlem.

Thousands mourned slain NYPD officer Randolph Holder at Tuesday's wake, which started at 9 a.m. at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica.

Solidarity vigils were held Monday outside more than 40 police precincts across the city to remember the five-year NYPD veteran and other officers whose lives have been claimed by gun violence.
