The contracts are expected to be awarded to the apparent low bidders following review and approval by the State Comptroller's Office.  CAYUGA COUNTY CONSTRUCTION WORK: Awarded To New Britain Roofing Co., Inc. of Horseheads, NY Description Replace Metal and Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Roofs Location Cayuga Correctional Facility, Moravia, NY Low Bid $5,763,622 CHEMUNG COUNTY ELECTRICAL WORK: Awarded To Kaplan-Schmidt Electric, Inc. of Rochester, NY Description Upgrade Standpipe System, Phase I, Bldgs. 8, 9, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 & 46 Location Elmira Correctional Facility, Elmira, NY Low Bid $325,500 FIRE PROTECTION/SPRINKLER WORK: Awarded To SRI Fire Sprinkler, LLC of Albany, NY Description Upgrade Standpipe System, Phase I, Bldgs. 8, 9, 11, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 & 46 Location Elmira Correctional Facility, Elmira, NY Low Bid $2,994,250 CLINTON COUNTY CONSTRUCTION WORK: Awarded To Dow Electric, Inc. of Malone, NY Description Replace Windows, Truck Trap Tower A-60 Location Clinton Correctional Facility, Dannemora, NY Low Bid $129,795 LIVINGSTON COUNTY CONSTRUCTION WORK: Awarded To Steve General Contractor, Inc. of Caledonia, NY Description Replace Window Wells & Gratings, Various Buildings Location Groveland Correctional Facility, Sonyea, NY Low Bid $1,569,600 The Office of General Services requires the participation of minority and women-owned businesses in its procurement and construction programs and requires that minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs) and minority and women employees be given the opportunity to participate.
