U.K. Tax Authorities Probe Global Brands

Three of the biggest global brands are being asked to justify the small amount of tax they pay in the U.K. The U.K. Public Accounts Committee has been asking why over the past 13 years, Starbucks recorded sales of nearly five billion dollars, but paid less than 14 million dollars in taxes. Last year, Google paid just under five-and-a-half million dollars in taxes on sales topping six billion dollars. While Amazon paid the least - about one and a half million dollars on an income of up to 11 billion dollars. Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from London.
