Sierra Leone Braced for Tight Election Race


Saturday is election day in Sierra Leone. It is the third set of elections since the end of the civil war which lasted for more than ten years. Nine candidates are vying for the Presidency. Current leader Ernest Koroma seeking re-election. He will have to get more than 55 per cent of the vote to avoid a run-off. Voters are also choosing 112 members of parliament and local elections are being held for regional councilors and Mayors. Al Jazeera's Ama Boateng reports from Freetown.
