Resignation of CIA Director David Petraeus


Ronald Kessler talked about the media furor surrounding General David Petraeus' resignation as director of the CIA, and the implications for national security and the intelligence community. Mr. Kessler said that he was told by an FBI source on October 10, 2012, that the investigation began in Spring 2012 but “was not gonna end until the election was over, and then at that point Petraeus would be asked to resign.” He further stated, “I think there is a real cover-up going on.” He also discussed upcoming hearings on the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
