Putin Passes New Controversial Treason Law


It's been seven months since Vladimir Putin returned to power as Russia's President. In that time he has passed a number of laws that rights groups say undermine civil liberties and freedom of speech. The latest controversial law passed is on treason. Rights activists say it's so vague that it would mean any dissenter could be branded a traitor. Al Jazeera's Charles Stratford reports from Moscow.
