Philippines, Muslim Separatists Reach Peace Deal

After a 40-year long war with Muslim separatist fighters in the southern Phillipines, that claimed more than 120,000 lives, the Philippine government has announced a preliminary peace deal. That's after successful talks between the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which has been fighting for independence in the southern island of Mindanao. President Aquino made the announcement on Sunday saying the "framework agreement" could lead to a final peace deal by 2016, when his six-year term ends. Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports from Cotabato City in southern Philippines.
