Libya Becomes Talking Point for U.S. Presidential Campaign


Libyans are being encouraged to hand over their weapons in a bid to improve security. Thousands of people have been turning in ammunition, AK47 rifles and even rocket propelled grenades for the incentive of winning a car and electronic goods. The problem of unregulated weapons was highlighted by the recent attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. U.S. intelligence agencies now say the attack, which killed the American ambassador, was pre-meditated. And the issue is becoming a presidential campaign talking point. Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports.
