Police and Protesters Clash in Greece

Riot police have used tear gas and pepper spray against demonstrators at an anti government rally called as part of a general strike in Athens. It followed anti austerity protesters throwing petrol bombs and bottles at police. Some 50,000 Greek workers walked off the job for the 24-hour strike. They were protesting against billions of dollars worth of new salary and pension cuts being discussed by the government and its international creditors. Al Jazeera's Barnaby Phillips reports from Athens.
