Panic Over Ethnic Violence Grips India


Fear of religious and ethnic violence is gripping India - thousands of people are leaving their homes in cities right across the country.Panic is spreading after clashes in the northeastern state of Assam, between the Indian Bodo people and Muslim immigrants.The violence has forced more than two hundred thousand people to flee their homes in Kokrajhar and Chirang. Many have ended up in refugee camps. Two thousand people are being sheltered at a camp in Jalpaiguri, in West Bengal not far from the border with Bangladesh. Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports.
