South African Youth 18 Years After Apartheid

Nelson Mandela will turn 94 on Wednesday. Despite a 67-year battle against social injustice, South Africans born in 1994, the year Mandela became the first democratically elected president, still face many challenges. The man South Africans call Madiba is credited with putting reconciliation and national unity at the top of his agenda when he became president. But, for the nation's overwhelming the poor majority, their high expectations remain unmet. Those turning 18 this year will enter the job market in a nation where one in four people are unemployed. Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa reports from South Africa.
