Obama to Hold 'Shared Responsibility, Shared Prosperity' Town Halls

Will Discuss Vision for Bringing Down Deficit

On Tuesday, April 19, the President will travel to the North Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus to participate in a "Shared Responsibility and Shared Prosperity" town hall to discuss his vision for bringing down our deficit.

Next week, the President will also travel to Facebook Headquarters in Palo Alto, California, and Reno, Nevada, where he will hold town halls to speak directly to the American people about his vision for reducing our debt and bringing down our deficit, based on the values of shared responsibility and shared prosperity.

Last Wednesday, President Obama laid out his plan to put our nation on a more responsible fiscal trajectory while continuing to make the smart investments needed to create jobs and grow our economy.

"We must work together, to begin to live within our means, and make shared sacrifices in order to rein in the deficit and meet the tough challenges of the future," said the president.
