Happening in Harlem: 'Black Panther' Opening and After Party


ImageNation invites members of the Harlem community and those from neighboring areas to its celebration of the release of "Black Panther". The film will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Magic Johnson Theater: 2309 Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

Marvel's Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler. Cast members include Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown, Jon Kani, Isaach De Bankole, to name a few.

The following will be presented with each ticket purchase: a ticket to see the film; House, Hip-Hop, Soul, Afrobeat spun by DJ Michael Forde;  a complimentary drink; prizes for the three best costumes; food; and admittance to the after party.  #BlackPantherTurnUp

The after party will be held at Raw Space at 9 p.m. The facility is located at 2031 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard (between 121st and 122nd Street).
