Tim Russert felt his life's calling was to understand politics and
public policy and interpret it so the average viewer would understand.
His lawyers background came in handy as he cross-examined the public
figures he invited on Meet the Press.
This post was made to remind NBC News executives of the importance of ethics, honor and integrity in news reporting. Given the dust-up over Megyn Kelly's "interview" with Alex Jones, and the fact that NBC News even considered doing the segment, Mr. Russert must be rolling over in his grave.
NBC News needs to make more of an effort to provide coverage of topics that are not only vital to the public interest, but "Russert-worthy".
