Thousands of mourners are saying goodbye to Steven McDonald, the New
York City police detective who forgave the teenager who shot him 30
years ago, paralyzing McDonald from the neck down. McDonald went on to
become a global pilgrim for peace and forgiveness. He died from a heart
attack at age 59.
