Can Senator Schumer Justify His ‘Ellison’ Campaign?

Written by The Jewish Voice Staff

If the figures for the Jewish vote during the recent presidential election holds up, nearly 71% of the Jewish vote went for the Democrat line-up, right across the board. That's an uptick of nearly 3 points over the numbers for the 2012 Obama second term re-election. We're begging for Democrat supporters to please give us the reasons for this tiny but noticeable surge of support for the Democrat Party. Just what benefits did they themselves, this nation's Jewish citizens or the Jewish State accrue from the Obama-Hillary team for them to line up so solidly again with the Progressive movement? Were their college kids made any safer away from home? Were the threatened European Jewry made to feel any more secure by the administration's sense of compassion for their situation?

Were they offered a haven in this country from the persecution at the hands of the Muslims taking over that continent? Was there any move by the Democrat Party's leadership to stand behind Israel? Had any Jewish member of congress stood up to condemn and denounce any of President Obama's hostile actions and verbiage damning Israel for its fight for survival? Not one positive move on the part of the obvious but invisible Jewish Congressional Caucus of over 34 members in these matters.

So now, Chuck Schumer the soon to be Senate Minority Leader goes ahead and without shame or concern for a Jewish political backlash, goes and nominates Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) for the top dog position as chair of the Democrat National Committee. Chuckie Boy must have faith in the stupidity of the Democrat Jewish voter because Mr. Ellison is an out-and-out Islamist with an overtly Jew/Israel hating background. Ellison has a history of being a member of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam and a staunch supporter of the Council of American Islamic Relations, a Muslim Brotherhood linked organization.
