Federal Communications Commission Chair Thomas Wheeler testified at a
hearing on the FCC’s proposed privacy rules for Internet service
providers. Chair Wheeler defended the proposed rules, saying consumers
should have similar privacy protections while on the internet as they do
have when using telephone networks. FCC Commissioner Ajit Pait, Federal
Trade Commission Chair Edith Ramirez, and FTC Commissioner Maureen
Ohlhausen appeared before the committee.
