FPWA to Host 2015 Impact Awards Gala

New York Theological Seminary and Others Will Be
Honored

The Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA) will host its 2015 Impact Awards Gala honoring individuals and organizations who give their time, talent and treasure to impact the lives New York City’s most vulnerable citizens.

The event, which will be held at Capitale,130 Bowery Street, on October 26, 2015, at 6 p.m.,  will be hosted by Emmy award-winning ABC News correspondent and best-selling author Mara Schiavocampo.

The following are expected to attend: Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies and Jennifer Jones Austin, CEO and Executive Director; the Honorable David N. Dinkins, Professor in the Practice of Public Affairs at the Columbia University School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) is receiving the Lifetime on the Ground Service; the New York Theological Seminary for Faith-Based Service; and Craig C. MacKay, Managing Director, Head of the New York Office and Partner at England & Company LLC, for Philanthropy. 

FPWA hosts the Impact Awards Gala to raise funds for yearlong programming and advocacy.

According to Jennifer Jones Austin, CEO and Executive Director of Federation of Protestant Welfare, “This annual event is one of our favorites – bringing together amazing leaders in social service from all facets of the New York City community.” “We are thrilled to honor these individuals and organizations for their dedicated work to help New York City’s most vulnerable.”

Irvin, PhD, President of the New York Theological Seminary (NYTS). “NYTS has a long and rich history of preparing men and women for ministry in the real world, and through our continued work with FPWA, we are ensuring that next wave of faith leaders are equipped with the tools necessary to fight social injustice.”

MacKay, Managing Director, Head of the New York Office and Partner at England & Company, LLC . “FPWA has been at the forefront of the human services sector for decades, working with community organizations that provide resources and support to some of greater New York’s most vulnerable citizens.  I am proud to be part of that work, and I look forward to continuing to build upon the legacy of this great organization.”
