Italy's Long Road of Corruption

Over the last 15 years, the European Union has given one of Italy's most impoverished regions, Calabria, almost $2.5 billion to improve its road infrastructure. But critics say some of that funding made its way to the local mafia instead. As a result, all that is left to show for the money is an unfinished highway from Salerno to Reggio Calabria, that has taken more than 50 years to build. Al Jazeera's Claudio Lavanga reports from Reggio Calabria.
