Occupy Wall Street protesters march. Wall Street traders enter their cubicles, to buy and sell stocks and bonds. President Obama and the United States Congress, in Washington DC, do not much of anything these days because of differing political ideology. Life marches onward.

Somehow this country, America, continues its forward march into the future, to keep its date with destiny. Americans of diverse political, ethnic and religious backgrounds lie their hopes in freedom and brotherly love; Americans, one and all, seek the "American Dream."Although Americans believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, there is a sense of impatience and uncaring as Americans continue to march towards the elusive promised-land.

America is the throes of the Great Recession, unlike anything experienced since the Great Depression. Opinions differ as to how this economic Armageddon raised its long tentacles, from the depths of its prosperity, to drag down America's once burgeoning capitalist-system. The study of economics is a fascinating and rewarding endeavor. Nevertheless, there is more to economic education than dollars and cents. Moral rectitude and the common-good are key ingredients that need to be added to the curriculum.

The continuing downward slide of America's capitalist system need not continue. The knowledge to succeed is ingrained in America's spirit; but somehow, America's sense of right and wrong has eluded its conscious-mind, gone with the wind, pfft.

Peace on earth and good will towards all people is the American-Dream; ideas about how to attain the American-Dream differ, that's all...
