Addabbo Addresses JFK Security Concerns, Meets with Assemblyman Goldfeder


A JFK safety discussion was conducted at St. Barnabas Church in Howard Beach last Tuesday evening, September 20. Senator Joe Addabbo Jr. (center) sponsored the public discussion in which residents were updated on the security measures being taken at JFK Airport by the Port Authority. Ralph Tragale (right) and Jerry Spampanato (left) informed those who attended the seminar of the Port Authority’s interaction with the NYPD, FDNY and other emergency services. Also discussed were ways in which the adjacent waterways are monitored and secured.


Senator Begins Working with New Assemblyman - After the special election held on September 13, Senator Addabbo met newly-elected Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder at the Esquire Diner in Ozone Park. The representatives discussed local district issues and coordinating their efforts in various communities. Among the topics discussed were the status of the senior housing project in Howard Beach, New York, the Resorts World Racino at Aqueduct, public safety, small businesses, taxes, education, and traffic patterns.
